Labor has released government costings aimed at undermining the Opposition's push to add nuclear energy to Australia’s grid.
Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie says the cost of transitioning to nuclear energy, roughly $387 billion, is “a lot of money”.
“I think we just need to look at the energy and whether or not in the long run it’s going to lower our costs across the country," Ms Lambie told Sky News Australia.
“But quite frankly I have no problem with their being a mix across the country.
“I just think we cannot afford to put all our eggs in one basket.”
