BEAVER CREEK, COLORADO (Oct. 16, 2024) – The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) announced the recipients of the 2024 EDIE Awards during its annual Drive|Lead|Succeed Conference held in Beaver Creek, Colorado, from October 13-16, 2024.
Each year, the EDCC Board Chair or the Board of Directors may choose to present the Chairman’s Choice Award to honor individuals who have shown unwavering support for EDCC and a multi-year commitment to the vitality, growth, and sustainability of Colorado’s economy. This year’s ‘Chairman’s Choice’ Award was presented to Drew Kramer, Immediate Past Chair and Economic Development Manager at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association.
Drew's distinguished contributions, unwavering support for EDCC, and a long-term commitment to the growth and sustainability of Colorado’s economy include:
• Longstanding Commitment: Serving on EDCC’s Board of Directors for seven years, including five years as an Executive Committee member, Drew has demonstrated exceptional dedication with near-perfect attendance.
• Advocacy and Promotion: He actively promotes EDCC in external meetings, enhancing awareness and participation among stakeholders, which strengthens the organization's impact.
• Leadership in Organizational Growth: Drew spearheaded the first-ever Special Committee to address EDCC’s growth, focusing on enhancing staff capacity and ensuring team well-being through health and wealth benefits.
• Economic Development Leadership: He played a pivotal role in establishing the Economic Development Manager position at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, reflecting his commitment to diversifying the economies they serve.
