Langar is a custom that has been a part of Sikh religion for thousands of years. A community kitchen is attached to each temple and anyone is welcome to eat there. It makes no difference who you are, what is your religion, whether you're rich or poor. Everyone is equal at Langar. The food is simple but made and served with love. It's part of the strong belief Sikhs have to be of service. At Budha Johad temple there's also a story of bravery, resistance...and a severed head.
