CEA-Leti researchers have developed a 3D microscope that is compact, robust, and easy-to-use.

It is unique in its ability to image living biological tissues for two reasons:
1️⃣ Phase images can be captured, without requiring fluorescent markers
2️⃣ It can work directly in a cell culture incubator
The microscope was already able to film the evolution of complex, living tissues such as liver organoids and mouse embryos.
Thanks to unique AI data analysis algorithms, CEA-Leti teams hope that this microscope will also be able to identify viable embryos and to increase successful in vitro fertilizations.
