STORY-LINE
22-year-old Liliya Maynosh is a make-up artist and psychology student from Lviv, Ukraine.
She's one of the many young Ukrainians who have given up their day jobs to get involved in defending their country.
At this centre in Lviv, both young and old are making nets for the military.
Maynosh is determined to help and feels unified with her country.
"We are together now, we feel it in the air, this connection now," she says.
She has stayed in Lviv with her family.
Many people have decided to leave for nearby Poland.
"Every hour, from Lviv, people are leaving the country," says Maynosh.
Everyday Ukrainians have found all sorts of ways to help: from donating blood, to weaving nets and looking after animals that have been left behind by those fleeing.
Even Ukrainian psychologists have also found ways to use their skills, through offering free counseling via social media apps such Instagram.
"Nobody has cold blood about this," says Maynosh, "we're going to stay here because we are Ukrainians and love our homeland. We love our country."
