This video shows you how to install a door lock actuator so that you don’t need to purchase an entire latch assembly on your 2006-2011 Cadillac DTS. Power door lock systems typically use some sort of actuated motor to drive the lock mechanism. If the actuator breaks, then the door lock will no longer operate electronically.

This repair was done on a 2010 Cadillac DTS Platinum 4.6L and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
