Learn how to combine/merge geometries and rasters with the st_union function from PostGIS.
We do several examples in this video with both raster and geometry types and make heavy use of QGIS for the visualization. Threw in some extra functions as well: st_translate, st_centroid & geometrytype. They make an appearance in a bit of the SQL.
This video is way too long, ideally, these weekly videos should be between five and ten minutes, this one got out of hand. Also, apologies for the many sniffles and the audio in general. The initial recording was too low, so i had to boost the volume and everything is now audible.
