OutLoud 2018 is a spoken word poetry slam competition where secondary students compete in teams.This year Outloud was an eco theme. Red Room Poetry commissioned three poems by Maxine Beneba Clarke, Mantra and EZB for inspiration.

Students then wrote, choreographed and performed their work for a panel of professional judges as part of the Melbourne Writers Festival.

Stemming from our New Shoots collaboration, Red Room Poetry joined OutLoud with Australian Poetry and Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, encouraging students to create poems inspired by the new theme of environmental sustainability.
