A doctor in Birmingham is calling for a "life-saving" blood test for newborn babies, to be made mandatory across the UK.
Parents have said access to the test can be a postcode lottery with some babies being sent home after delivery with potentially fatal health conditions being missed.
Katie Hicken's eight-month old son was born with a serious heart defect.
She told ITV News: "I find it really quite upsetting to think that it's not offered to every baby and not every mother, you know they might be sent home with what they think is a healthy baby."
