Whitney had her first level 9 Gymnastics meet! It was what’s called a mock meet, in that there was only one team competing…Whitney’s team. But there were official judges giving out official scores that count towards qualifying for the Georgia State meet. Whitney did great, even though she was not completely ready with all of her level 9 skills yet. She needed a spot by her coach on bars to complete her Pak Salto and she was also not ready to compete with her layout Yurchenko on vault. This results in deductions and lower start values. The good news is that Whitney did well enough to qualify for the State Meet in March 2017.
