I have been planning this project for almost a year now with this specific song sitting in the "Songs for a Video" notes section of my phone for even longer. I wanted to do something that I've never done before: shoot on Super 8 (or even film in general). So after some crash course research, I hoped for the best and waited for what was shaping up to be a very busy Summer -- then COVID hit. Like many, it completely changed our idea of what our Summer was going to be. Some of our plans changed, some stayed the same but now my new goal was to make sure the video perfectly captured our Summer and what the "normal" once was.

For this technically being a test roll, I've learned a lot during the shoot, especially with the very present auto-exposure issue and the limited amount of film within a single roll but that's what you get for using a camera this old. I look forward to shooting more Super 8 in 2021.
