Craving this popular melt-in-your-mouth chaat? Now you can make it at home.
Ingredients Required:
1. 1 cup urad dal
2. Salt to taste
3. Water as required
4. Oil for frying
5. 1 tsp asafoetida
6. 1 tsp black salt
For Serving –
1. 2-3 cups yogurt
2. Coriander chutney
3. Tamarind chutney
4. Black salt
5. Cumin seeds powder
6. Red chilli powder
7. Pomegranate arils
8. Chopped coriander leaves
9. Sev
How to Make Dahi Bhalla:
1. Soak dal overnight.
2. Once soaked well, grind it properly.
3. Add in salt to the dal paste.
4. Mix the batter for a good 5-7 minutes with hands for fluffy dahi bhalla.
5. Heat enough oil.
6. Fry bhalla on a low to medium heat.
7. Clean hands frequently and shape the bhallas.
8. In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of water. Add asafoetida and black salt.
9. Add the prepared bhallas to the water.
10. Let it sit for 12-15 minutes.
11. For serving, lightly squeeze the bhallas.
12. Add to a deep serving dish.
13. Add coriander chutney, tamarind chutney and the spices.
14. Garnish with pomegranate arils, coriander and sev and it’s ready to serve.
