We want to prove to you that travel does NOT have to be expensive. Come with us on this 3-day adventure as we go island hopping around the Dinagat Islands. We went swimming, cliff jumping, and the best part, FOOD TRIPPING around the province of the Dinagat Islands.
We also included a little clip of the Vince Gabriel boat incident that happened, but please don't let this stop you from visiting the province. The Dinagat Islands is beautiful and worthy of being a top destination in the Philippines. These crazy boat incidents rarely happen, and it can be avoided as long as you avoid stormy weather and only travel during good weather :)

Where is the Dinagat Islands?
Dinagat Islands is located West of Siargao and North of Surigao City — a group of islands constituting a province in the Caraga region in the Philippines. The language spoken are Surigaonon, Cebuano and the local dialect of Dinagatnon. Tagalog is not common in the island province which makes it a bit hard to communicate to some locals in the area.
How to go to the Dinagat Islands DIY
The closest airport will be Surigao Airport and Butuan Airport (BXU). Whichever airport you come from, you need to go to Surigao Port to get to Dinagat Islands.
If you come from Butuan, there are multicabs outside the airport that will take you the bus / van terminal for Php50.00 and 15 minutes ride. From the terminal, ride a van or bus to Surigao City. Travel time is 2.5-3 hours (van) and 4-5 hours (bus).
