R32: Wookies in the Woods
Each April, a hundred or more dedicated R32 owners converge on the famed US129 "The Dragon" on the boarder of North Carolina and Tennessee, for a fun weekend of driving on some awesome twisty roads. The runs through the Dragon are the highlight of the weekend - 318 turns in 11 miles! We get people driving in from all over North America, from as far away as the west coast, Mexico, Canada and all point in between. We call it Wookies in the Woods because once a bystander told us that our cars exhaust sounds like an angry Wookie! Now the R32's are known as Wookies! This picture is of me in my '08 R32 from last April and it gives you the feeling of driving the Dragon. Come join us!
