In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the Convention on Wetlands, the Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands, in collaboration with Youth Engaged in Wetlands, will host a virtual “intergenerational dialogue”. As global leaders seek to enhance global action in the coming months across the climate change, biodiversity loss and broader sustainable development agenda, the Convention’s anniversary falls at a critical time to scale greater action on wetlands for human and planetary health.
This panel discussion will examine how wetlands have connected actors from all of society and across generations - from the founders of the Convention to tomorrow’s leaders - to mobilize actions to protect, conserve and restore wetlands.
