India would not have got freedom if there was no Krishna's Gita! In 1905, the Swadeshi movement started in Bengal, where 50,000 people, holding the Gita in their hands, took to the streets and vowed to boycott British goods and drive the British out of India. One of them was Aurobindo Ghosh! He was one of the earliest and greatest revolutionaries of the Indian freedom struggle! He reiterated the message of the Gita for the upliftment of India and the salvation of humanity - Shri Krishna's repeated exhortations to Arjuna emphasize struggle; "Fight and defeat your opponents!", "Remember me and fight!", "With a heart full of spirituality, surrender all your actions to me, and fight free from greed, free from selfish claims! Remove the fever of your soul from yourself!" Such proclamations of Krishna made the path of India's freedom easy!
