The most common mistake made during the "behavior analysis phase" of the interview is misdiagnosing deception. That typically happens one of two ways. The most common issue is inaccurately seeing all signs of stress as cues to deception. The other problem is missing the very few of actual deception when they occur.
An elevated level of stress behavior by a subject can have some "incriminating potential." The large change in stress does not in itself mean deception BUT the issue IS causing the subject some problems. It is well worth your time to dig into that topic area to see if deception occurs.
