Building real-time GraphQL APIs is hard and time-consuming. You need to be entirely sure that the HTTP endpoint is secure, never goes down, and can scale on demand. Moreover, API Layers and Data Layers are often managed separately, forcing developers to have two different sources of truth for their Application API. In this lightning talk, we will see how we can use Prisma-AppSync to considerably speed up GraphQL APIs development. Prisma-AppSync is a Prisma Generator that brings Prisma ORM and Amazon AWS’ fully managed GraphQL service together. Simply using a Prisma Schema as a reference, it allows generating a production-ready GraphQL API for all CRUD operations (including real-time subscriptions), so that you can benefit from Prisma data model definition to manage API Layers and Data Layers, all from a single place.
