This autumn will mark the unveiling of Christo’s ‘L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped’. Until his last breath, Christo worked tirelessly on plans to wrap the famous landmark in fabric and rope. Sixty years in the making, it is a project that will be realised in Paris from 18 September to 3 October. In celebration, Sotheby’s will present ‘The Final Christo’ (17 September – 3 October | Paris), an exhibition of 25 works telling the story of the project from its inception. Each work will be available for private sale with proceeds to benefit ‘L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped’ project and the Christo & Jeanne-Claude Foundation to safeguard the artists’ legacy.
