Snow and ice swept away the only bridge across the river Ohre at Cheb region in Czechoslovakia. A new bridge supplied by UNRRA (United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration) is erected.

Civilians gathered to watch the bridge being built. Men are seen tightening up screws as girders are fitted together. Several shots of the completed bridge being drawn across the river.
