The complexity of the music ecosystem is easily matched by the myriad philanthropic and public funding models that exist. A dizzying (and often mysterious world of national, regional, and local grantmakers are making investment decisions that will shape the music nonprofit profit landscape and infrastructure. We are also seeing new, democratized forms of philanthropic support emerge.
As we come out of an election cycle where an estimated $14 billion was raised to support candidates, how are public agencies, philanthropies and the music community aligning to co-create a stronger post-pandemic music ecosystem?
