I got really lucky that he didn't use his Awakening Aura, the reason why I didn't use drive boost that much was because I'd be unable to move and I need to warn Reyn and Dunban of Emperor Combo X or they get one shotted. Considering my Sharla isn't really that well set up yet, I consider this a success!
