Finally enough miles on the motor to do a launch control video.
Couple of notes here -
#1 The VAQ diffrential can be set to two traction modes: Normal or Increased Traction using VCDS or OBD11.
Normal Mode the VAQ is slower to react, is in passive mode most of the time and you can feel the lag no matter what drive mode ur in.
Increased Traction Mode the VAQ is super responsive. U can feel it acting aggresively to keep the car in line and maintain traction. Steering gets heavier and snappier like it would in a car with a 2-way LSD. Proper feel!
#2 Then in each of the 3 driving modes (Eco, Normal & Sport) this aggressiveness and speed at which the diff engages changes.
In Eco the diff will be lazy to react and the car will feel more open diff.
In Normal Mode the diff will engage a bit faster only when driven aggressively or during sudden turns or hard acceleration.
In Sport Mode the diff engages extremely fast, and reacts to situations as if its in pre select mode and monitoring every little thing you do.
In this video, the VAQ is set to the Normal Mode, and Drive Mode is set to Sport. I'll do another Launch Control Video, with a clear view of speedo with the VAQ set to Increased Traction Mode.
