The Migjorn or de Ses Salines beach is a corner that you should not miss during your stay in Ibiza.
Although the beach is very busy during the summer, its beauty will surpass all your expectations: an almost untouched sand beach with 1,500 meters of length, where you can immerse yourself in crystal clear water and enjoy long walks on the very fine sand of the shore. The beach offers all kinds of services. From the beach you can see the Los Freus rocky islands and the inviting silhouette of Formentera on the horizon. The waters of Ses Salines are shallow and the beach has rescue swimmers. For this reason, it is a safe place for children. It is part of the Ses Salines de Ibiza and Formentera natural parks, as the area is visited by migratory birds who breed or rest in the salt marshes. In the back part of the beach is an important system of dunes with pines and juniper, which have blown their roots into the sand.
To reach the beach from Ibiza (11 km), follow the signs to Sant Jordi and from there to Ses Salines. Here you can park your car in a parking lot behind the beach. You can also reach the beach by bus or by bike; On the journey you can see how the salt has been won for centuries. The waters of Ses Salines are shallow and the beach has rescue swimmers.
