Andy Lambrechts, Ph.D., of imec presents a new solution for hyperspectral imaging that integrates the hyperspectral filter system with the imager in one very compact module. Imec has eliminated a lot of high-end optical components and now enables new capabilities, such as early skin cancer detection and food safety applications that were not possible before with state-of-the-art cameras.
