P-51D-25NT Mustang N251RJ 44-84847 (CY-D) Miss Velma was one of the last Mustangs built.
It is thought that the Aircraft saw service in North Korea during the Korean War.
Up until the late 1990's the Aircraft was in storage but reappeared in 1999 and was restored to flying condition.
The Aircraft was acquired by the Fighter Collection in 2000, and finally arrived at Duxford in 2007 after a flight from Chino across the Atlantic.
