Today we are heading to Niagara Falls, Canada and stoping at a unique UFO shaped Restaurant. Its the Flying Saucer Restaurant, a kiche and fun diner that takes its guests away from the ordinary. When arriving, the building is saucer shaped and it looks straight out of a 1950's B movie. The Flying Saucer Restaurant likes to premote that it's out of this world with down to earth pricing. Inside the UFO / alien theme continues. The interioor and decor is unapoligeticly retro with its vinyl booths, lighting and kitche space decor. The menu is also a throwback to a simpler time as well. It is simple comfort food and diner fare with breakfast served all day. We ordered a combination of breakfast which included Italian omletts and fluffy pancakes and some lunch items, like a steak sandwich and a jr hamburger. The menu items have cute names like martian pancakes and Jupiter buergers but its a missed opertunity that the food itself is not space themed.

The Flying Saucer Restaurant is known in Niagara Falls, Canada as an excellent breakfast spot and we would agree. Some of our lunch items did not measure up. Another missed oppertunity is that all the desserts are from the Cheesecake Factory. A good homemade cobbler or pie would have been great. The service here is great and they been doing it for over 50 years. This is a unique Niagara Falls, Canada restaurant that should not be missed.
