I have been noticing an empty coolant reservoir. At first, I only had to refill the reservoir every few months. Eventually the leak became so bad that I was having to refill the coolant system before each ride. It is / was VERY important to me to find the leak and diagnose the problem before taking the ski to a shop. This video demonstrates the simple process of performing a 'pressure test' on the cooling system. This video is part 2 of 3. This part 2 reveals the source of my leak, which is a cracked ride plate nipple. In part 3 I propose a solution to this problem. My prospective solution will cost under $20. Both the dealership, as sell as the independent repair shops are quoting me in the neighborhood of $600 to fix the problem. I SURE hope my solution works. The primary question here is; is it possible to repair a cracked 'ride plate nipple' without going through the expensive process of removing the ride plate? If anyone has any suggestions, information, or alternative solutions I would love to hear from you on this subject. Thanks for watching.
