As part of one day's 'fish' theme (mid-week in June 2014), the Bay Explorers hiked to Harry's Overlook of Saltpeter Creek, in Marshy Point Park.
Here, kids and camp leaders work together to catch fish in a seine net. The kids make a lot of noise and movement to 'scare' the fish toward the net, which the leaders then pull up to see what they caught. (Later, after looking and talking about what they caught, the fish were released back into the water.)
Marshy Point offers a variety of fun, affordable summer camps for kids ages 4 to 12. Bay Explorers is a one-week program for kids ages 6 to 9. For more information: [ Ссылка ]
