As 2010 was the 175th anniversary of the Great Western Railway, it was a must that the Great Western Society at Didcot had to put on a big event to celebrate, and they certainly did. Lasting for 9 days from the 1st to the 9th of May, it played host to up to 25 ex GWR locos, with 13 operational locos on site, 6 of which were visitors, plus a visiting railtour on the first day. Throughout the day engines would run up and down the two demonstration lines, with 9466 carrying out some shunting, with locos being on display when not in use, as well as all the other locos not operating placed on display around the site.
