The daily total of UK deaths from corona virus was slightly lower than yesterday's.
The figure for the past twenty four hours was 180. That takes the total to 1,408.
They are made up of corona virus deaths in hospitals.
From tomorrow the daily total will be calculated differently. Deaths at home and in care homes will be included. So the chances are the figures will jump.
It also begs a question why that hasn't been done before?
For those who do die in hospital, this cruelest of diseases keeps them apart from those who love them, because of the risk of infection.
