Around 2,700 incoming freshmen and transfers attended the New Student Convocation at Coastal Carolina University on the evening before the start of classes. They were welcomed to the University and learned about some of the traditions at CCU. The students even participated in the birth of a new tradition, as they entered the convocation space through a gauntlet formed by faculty and staff. They will progress through another gauntlet, made up of faculty from their respective colleges, at the end of their graduation ceremonies.
