Watch for slick road conditions, especially south of the Quad Cities this morning. 1-3 inches of snow came down Sunday night into the predawn hours of Monday.
Clouds will give way to sunshine today, but don't look for much warmth. In fact, we'll be colder this afternoon than this morning with temps in the mid-teens. Wind chills will go below zero this afternoon and stay there through tomorrow morning.
Tonight will be clear and cold with lows around -4. Wind chills will peak at -20.
There is a significant warming trend coming this weekend. 40 degree temperatures aren't out of the question, however with plenty of snow on the ground, I'll stick with upper 30s for now. Our next weathermaker will arrive Monday and Tuesday. With temperatures expected above freezing, most of the precipitation will fall in the form of rain.
