China Insurance Automotive Safety Index (CISI) is an evaluation system in mainland China that examines the crash safety performance of automotive products through crash tests. It was established by CIRI Auto Technology Institute, so CIASI is a system funded by Chinese insurance companies (similar to the U.S. IIHS), and the same rating linked to claims is naturally relatively harsh and more credible.
