The first mass vigil has taken place in Orlando following an attack on a gay nightclub that killed 49 people in the worst mass shooting in US history.
The alleged gunman Omar Mateen was killed by police in the early hours of Sunday after pledging allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS).
Thousands of people attended the vigil on Monday to remember the victims of the attack and to show their support for the more than 50 others in hospital.
