"The Creep," a rotting ghoul, waits behind young Billy at the newsstand for the latest issue of the "Creepshow" comic book. As Billy runs to keep out of the clutches of the town bullies, The Creep follows him, picking up his scattered comic book pages. Dramatized are three gruesome horror stories. In "Old Chief Wood'n Head," a cigar store wooden Indian comes to life to avenge the store owner's brutal murder at the hands of three punks; "The Raft" involves four teenagers who encounter a terrifying, man-eating oil slick on a deserted lake; and "the Hitchhiker" is the chilling tale of a woman who keeps running into, and over, the same mutilated man on a lonely road. Finally, little Billy's troubles end when he leads the bullies into a patch of giant Venus flytraps.
