About 100 years before the invention of the AR15 came the lever action. From that first lever action invention, the Henry 1860, came the Winchester Model 1873, one of the more improved lever action rifles firing pistol calibers. This John Browning design became a popular rifle for small game hunting, and was originally chambered in the 44-40 cartridge. The Model 1873 Trapper Carbine in the video is a new reproduction made by Cimarron. I gotta say, it looks great and performs great for being a repro!
