We are at Foleyet, Ontario on September 24, 1995 as a east bound CN train comes in for a crew change. Listen to the to beautiful sound of these two locomotives as they come in, and when they leave. The Alco (MLW) has my vote. It sounds spectacular, but then again, I am an Alco fan. Just some info on the HR-616. There was only 20 HR616 built. They where built in 1982, and retired early 1990's. The HR stood for high reliability, which they where not. Lots of electrical problems. The 616 was for 6 axles, 16 cylinder. Some where scraped, some went to NRE in Illinois. I can find nothing about them on their site. So who knows where they are now. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294.5...
