If Krillin never existed in the Dragon Ball universe, Goku would miss out on a close friendship that helps him grow as a character. Without Krillin, Vegeta and Nappa might never come to Earth and, changing many battles and without krillin vegeta and goku would never meet and their friendship and rivalry wouldn't exist. On Nemek, Krillin's absence could allow Frieza to dominate without much resistance, leading to a darker fate for Earth and without krillin goku might not have become super saiyan and even if Goku somehow manages to defeat frieza it wouldn't be the same. In the Cell Saga, without krillin Goku and other z fighters might have killed cell before letting him achieve a better cell form. Overall, without Krillin, the story would be more chaotic and less heroic. @DragonballBlack
