Rafaela Silva

Brazilian Rafaela Silva became Olympic Champion in Rio in 2016 and was 2013 World Champion, also in Rio. In 2011 she won World silver and bronze in 2019 in the Budokan. She claimed 7 IJF World Tour victories twice in Budapest and twice in Dusseldorf. Silva won the Junior world title in 2008. Born in the Rio favelas and represents the Brazilian Sports dream. She helps with Flavio Canto's project to help the poor people. She became World Military champion in 2018 in Rio. Coached by Mario Tsutsui. At her international comeback she started 2022 well with a victory at the Grand Prix of Portugal.
Haruka Funakubo
Country: Japan | Born: 10 October 1998 (23 years)
Japanese judo talent Haruka Funakubo captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2021. She is the only triple Junior World Champion in the world. She won the world titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018 and she contributed to the mixed team world title for Juniors. The young judoka also won the World team title with Japan. She won the European Open in Sofia in 2017. In 2018 she took gold at the European Open in Rome. She claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Osaka in 2018 and bronze at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. She started 2022 with a victory at the Grand Slam in Paris.
