The first troops of the multi-national peace force began arriving in Bosnia and Croatia on Wednesday (6/12). There is heavy traffic through the town, including armored personnel carriers and support vehicles of the U.N. The french UN Information Officer of the Rapid Reaction Force in Kiseljak, Lieutenant Colonel Yves Bourboulon, says many UN soldiers based there will simply change their helmets and repaint their vehicles and become part of the NATO-led force. Bad weather has made roads extremely dangerous, causing a slowing down of traffic and numerous accidents involving UN vehicles.
