Libya's first unified elections scheduled for later this year are in doubt after politicians in the east withdrew confidence in the transitional government.
In a new blow to UN-recognised peace efforts, 89 MPs in Libya's eastern-based parliament voted to withdraw confidence from the Tripoli-based administration.
The move comes amidst disputes on electoral law and the possible postponement of elections.
Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah says he will continue to lead the caretaker administration despite the developments.
