Fresh paint on a family heirloom. This truck was bought used by my Great Grandpa in 1939 and has been in the family ever since. My grandpa is by no means a master mechanic nor an auto body tech. He was bored of retirement so he has been slowly restoring the older equipment around the farm.
This 1937 Chevy truck is still used around the farm and has the original straight 6 with 94,xxx miles. He just drove it into the yard after having a local body shop paint the fenders the original blue that came on the cab of the truck. The fenders came black in 1937 when the truck was new. Over the last year the truck was disassembled and had new wiring installed throughout the truck and the engine was overhauled to factory specs. The interior had been restored with new leather bench seat and fresh paint in the cab. I took some time and rebuilt the speedo/odometer, taking parts from two other 1937 Chevy trucks sitting idle in the scrap pile.
