Making your own jam is easy, saves money and tastes better than the bought stuff. That is, provided you use good quality fruit and stay next to the pot to prevent boiling over, burning on the bottom and missing the setting point.
Here I make strawberry jam using the fantastic strawberries from Portland Strawberries and also make raspberry jam using the Chilean frozen raspberries from the supermarket.
*Spoiler alert: The Chilean raspberries taste and smell of chemicals once you cook them. Not nice...
