While the ROG Phone 2 boasts incredible features, speed and specs at a premium price, this Nubia handset takes on the Black Shark 2 in battle for the title of the greatest budget gamer smartphone. You get that top-end Snapdragon 855+ platform backed by 8 or 12GB of RAM, and the benchmarking results are as good as you'd hope.

Sadly battery life isn't quite as strong despite the huge 5000mAh cell, giving you just over four hours of PubG action per charge. That said the Magic 3S is fast to recharge, and stays cool thanks to the dedicated liquid cooling and fan.

You also get Nubia's GameSpace 2.1 UI, which offers a slew of gaming features. You can block notifications, record your PubG heroics, activate the shoulder haptic buttons, and loads more besides.
