Amyloid light-chain (AL) amyloidosis remains a challenging condition to manage, Giampaolo Merlini, MD, University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy presents an update on AL amyloidosis, including the most promising therapeutic developments and areas which still pose as challenges in the treatment of the disease. Dr Merlini highlights the benefits of early diagnosis of AL amyloidosis which can be key in disease management and patient outcomes.
