Charles Collyns and Prakash Loungani, both with the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Independent Evaluation Office (IEO), present the findings of the IEO Monetary Policy report at a release meeting at the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) on June 27, 2019. The new IEO report assesses the quality of IMF advice to central banks over the past decade and provides recommendations for improvements. Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan, University of Maryland, and Joseph E. Gagnon, PIIE, both share their insights on the report.
