DEVOTE YOURSELF TO PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING
Colossians 4:2” Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful”
Being prayerful is an essential part of our calling as children of God, but it is not meant to be practiced alone. It goes hand in hand with expressing gratitude to the Lord, not only for the good He has already done but also for future blessings. This is a commitment every child of God should make. We are called to devote ourselves to prayer consistently, not only during times of fasting but throughout our lives. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 says, “Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Prayer and thanksgiving are the will of God for your life.
