Note that you gotta KO Johann to get his wealth to refresh and double. My game glitched so that's why I saved and loaded, but you shouldn't have to do that.

46:50 Fast travel strats. Mount your horse beforehand to hopefully escape the fight quickly, even though we're hoping to encounter wayfarer instead. Either way, get the Inn FT point.
54:03 Fast travel to Inn, because now we don't have Neuhof FT. However, it's not much worse of a route. Then return to Neuhof. I don't know a reliable way to skip Jakob's dialog unfortunately.

It didn't go very smooth at all but I still ended up 1m30s ahead. After that point everything is the same, as the only difference between Roach and Kelpie is extra carrying capacity, which is useless.
