The A.A.U. National Championships at New York - Ralph Boston, Tennassee's Olympic Champion, takes the broad jump with a leap of 26 feet, 11 1/4 inches tieing his own recognized record. Now watch a new world record in the making, Villanova's. Frank Budd, in the far lane, doing the classic 100 yard dash in 9.1/5th seconds. The gruelling mile race is a high spot of the meet with the appearance in it of Oregon's Dyrol Burleson and California's Jim Beatty, with 500 yards to go Burleson is in command. Burleson is a convincing victor but his time is 4 minutes and four and nine-tenth seconds.
